The motorcycle or motorized bicycle was invented in Britain in 1884. In the time since many different types of motorbikes have been developed for different uses. The dirt bike is one of them.
The dirt bike is an off-road motorcycle. It is designed for use on rough surfaces such as gravel or dirt. These bikes are lighter than other motorcycles, with a high clearance to avoid obstacles.
Dirt bikes are often used in motocross, or off-road motorcycle racing. It is one of the most physically demanding sports in the world, as the rider uses almost all of the body's muscles to maintain balance. The first of these competitions were held in the early 1900s.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing a Dirt Bike
1. Begin by drawing two circles to form the wheels.
2. From the center of one circle to a point outside it, draw straight parallel lines. Erase between them, and connect them at the circle's center. Draw a small circle. Then, draw successively smaller circles within the wheel, demarcating the tire, wheel, and rim.
3. Draw a similar pair of straight lines crossing the remaining wheel, and erase between them. Connect them at each end. Use a curved line to enclose a round shape at the wheel's center, and draw successively smaller circles to indicate the tire, wheel, and rim.
4. Next, let's draw the bike's engine and transmission. Use curved lines to enclose a series of irregular shapes. Draw a large circle in the middle, and a small circle within the adjoining shape.
5. Next, draw the body of the dirtbike. Use a series of straight lines to enclose a zigzag or lightning bolt shape. Extend a pair of lines upward from the front wheel, and draw a small rectangle at the top. This is known as the fork.
6. Use curved lines to outline the pointed front panel. Extend straight lines leading to the handlebars, and enclose a rounded parallelogram on the front.
7. Draw the handlebars. Extend a pair of straight lines, and enclose them at the end with a partial circle. In the gap, draw a cylinder, complete with a three-dimensional, circular end.
8. Complete the body of the motorbike. Use curved lines to outline the seat and exhaust, and straight lines to extend the body.
9. Detail the wheels. Draw straight lines between the engine and the rear wheel. Draw tiny hexagons to tread the surface of each tire, erasing as necessary. Draw straight lines to indicate the spokes.
